The Burlingame Dragons FC are proud to announce the signing of Stanford midfielder Corey Baird for the Premier Development League’s 2016 season. The Stanford midfielder/winger is a high profile signee who provides creativity and flair while maintaining consistency for his team.

Baird has been a U.S. National Team Pool Player since the U-14’s and participated in the 2013 CONCACAF U-17 Championships where he started every game for the U.S. He scored the only goal in a pool play victory over Guatemala. The clever and crafty midfielder tied for the team lead and tied for second in the country in assists (13). He netted three goals and was second on the team in points (19). Baird converted the penalty kick in the National Semi-finals against Akron that sent the Cardinal to the National Championship game and added two assists in the title game against Clemson to help the Cardinal to their first NCAA Championship in men’s soccer. His efforts earned him a spot on the College Cup All-Tournament Team and All-Pac-12 Second Team honors.

A native of Palomar, CA, the 5’11, 165 lb. midfielder is a welcome addition to the squad and will be one of the keys to the attack for a Dragons team that is looking to repeat as Division champions.
