Dragons FC Re-Sign Manny Cazares & Rajaee DeLane

Attacking Players Add Pace & Guile to the Dragons 2016 Squad

The Burlingame Dragons are pleased to announce that the team has re-signed winger Rajaee DeLane and midfielder Manny Cazares for the upcoming 2016 Premier Development League season.

DeLane returns to Burlingame after completing his junior season at California State University-Chico. He played in 14 games for the Wildcats, notching two assists on the season.

Before suiting up at Chico, the Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia native played at De Anza Community College in Cupertino where he scored 32 goals in two seasons for the Dons. While at De Anza, he was named as a two-time NSCAA All-West Region Team member.

Cazares was injured in the preseason for the Dragons in 2015, therefore playing a very small role for BDFC. He played last season collegiately for California State University at Monterey Bay. The talented midfielder began his collegiate soccer career at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA before transferring and finishing his collegiate career at CSUMB. In 2014, Cazares was named Honorable Mention All-CCAA for his efforts during the season.

The Panorama City, CA native is a threat while on the ball and uses his versatility to play multiple attacking positions.  His coach at Monterey Bay, Rob Cummings, said “Manny is amongst the most skilled players he has ever coached and his ability translates well to the professional level as an attacking or wide midfielder.”
