Dragons Crush SF City 5-0 in Franchise Record Win

The Lights Went Out Early For San Francisco as Wiesenfarth Nets Four Goals

With a remarkable four goal performance from forward Matthew Wiesenfarth, the Dragons crushed San Francisco City FC 5-0 on Sunday afternoon at Dragons Stadium. The win was the largest margin of victory in Dragons franchise history, and the largest margin of defeat that San Francisco City has suffered in their PDL history. The Dragons continue to solidify themselves as the class of the PDL in the Bay Area, boasting a 3-1-1 all-time record against their San Francisco counterparts.

The Dragons struck early with a 5th minute goal from Wiesenfarth, a 21st minute strike from Jamael Cox and another from Wiesenfarth in the 22nd minute. The game was over before it even started, as the Dragons took the 3-0 advantage into halftime. The second half was more of the same as Wiesenfarth added his 3rd in the 57th minute, and his 4th in the 73rd minute to complete his Man of the Match performance. As the loud speakers blared Journey's hit song, "When The Lights Go Down In The City," the referees blew the final whistle for a 5-0 Dragons victory.
