National Champion Defender, Versatile Attacker Eager to Impress

The Burlingame Dragons are thrilled to announce that the organization has inked Stanford defender Drew Skundrich and Duke forward Macario Hing-Glover for the 2016 Premier Development League season. The players are the 33rd and 34th members of the Dragons roster this season.

Skundrich is coming off of a fantastic season as he helped lead his Stanford Cardinal to the NCAA National Championship. The 5’11, 165 lb. defender started all 23 games at right back and tallied four assists in 2015. The sophomore, along with fellow Dragon Brian Nana-Sinkam, keyed a defense that surrendered only 15 goals this season, a 0.62 goals against average that ranked them 6th in the nation. In his Stanford career, Skundrich has played in 36 games, notching five assists.

The Lancaster, PA native was named to the 2015 College Sports Information Directors of America All-Academic team and was honored as part of the 2015 Pac-12 All-Academic 2nd Team.

Hing-Glover is a talented and dynamic forward for the Blue Devils in the Atlantic Coast Conference. This season, the Phoenix, AZ native played in 16 games, scoring three goals while contributing two assists as Duke finished with a record of 10-7-2 for the 2015 campaign. In his career at Duke, Hing-Glover has played in 19 games, scoring four times.

The 6’0, 170 lb. striker traveled to Split, Croatia in 2013 and played for the Hajduk Split junior team. He is also a San Jose Earthquakes Academy alumni, last playing with the team in 2014. Hing-Glover dabbles in the music world outside of soccer as he is an aspiring rap artist.
