Dragons FC Sign Jamael Cox, Parker Holland for 2016 PDL Season

Skilled Forward, Tough Midfielder Added to the Fray in Burlingame

The Burlingame Dragons announced today the re-signing of forward Jamael Cox and the signing of Santa Clara midfielder Parker Holland for the 2016 Premier Development League season.

Cox played for the Tacoma Stars in the Major Indoor Soccer League during their 2015-2016 season. The speedy winger fired home eight goals and added five assists in 15 games helping Tacoma to a 3rd place finish in the MISL’s Pacific Division.

The 5’9, 145 lb. forward suited up for the Dragons in their inaugural season in 2015, playing in 13 games, scoring one goal and notching one assist. Cox’s ability on the ball allows him to create space and provide instant offense for the Green and Black.

The Dragons also signed box-to-box midfielder Parker Holland to strengthen the center of the midfield as they seek to improve in that area for this campaign.

The Santa Clara product is coming off of a solid season in which he started all 20 games, scoring one goal and one assist. He was named 2015 All-WCC Honorable Mention .

The 6’2, 185 lb. junior brings a workmanlike approach to the game as he plays with an edge. He is going to be counted on to provide size, strength and tenacity to the Dragons as they seek to win their second PDL Division title in a row
