Burlingame Dragons FC Announced 2016 Schedule & Individual Tickets On Sale!

Conference Re-Alignment Places the Dragons in the new Central Pacific Division


The Premier Development League and the Burlingame Dragons Football Club unveiled their Regular Season schedule on Tuesday afternoon, which includes seven regular season home matches at Dragons Stadium on the campus of Burlingame High School. Competing in the new Central Pacific Division, the Dragons new alignment finds them in the same division with two familiar foes in the Fresno Fuego and the BYU Cougars. They will also match up with the Las Vegas Mobsters and a new rivalry is born with the addition of nearby San Francisco City Football Club.

The 2016 schedule features a total of 15 guaranteed games featuring 14 regular season contests and at least one U.S. Open Cup tie, scheduled for May 11th at a time and site yet to be determined. This includes two home games in the Bay Area’s newest rivalry, the Bay Area Derby, with San Francisco City Football Club.  The Dragons were undefeated at home last season (6-0-2), including a First Round PDL playoff victory over the Ventura County Fusion.

The Dragons will begin the season as vagabonds, traveling to play their first six regular season games on the road. The first game of the season sees the Dragons travel down Highway 99 to take on their old rivals from the Central Valley, the Fresno Fuego, at Chukchansi Park on Friday, May 6that 7:30pm. Two days later, the Boys from Burlingame head down to the City of Angels to take on the expansion L.A. Laguna on Sunday, May 8th at 5:00pm

Road trips follow, first to Provo, Utah, to take on the tough and rugged BYU Cougars on May 21st at 7:30pm.  The team then will stay on the road to play two games in three days against the Las Vegas Mobsters on Friday, May 27th and Sunday May 29th at Green Valley High School. Both games are scheduled for 7:30pm kickoffs. The Dragons begin June on the road again as they make their second visit to Fresno and Chukchansi Park on June 2nd to renew hostilities with they’re heated rivals, the Fuego. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm.

Burlingame then comes home for a five game home stand at Dragons Stadium,beginning Saturday, June 4th against the L.A. Laguna at 4pm. The first Bay Area Derby against SFCFC takes place six days later on Friday, June 10th at 7pm. BYU makes their first of two visits to the Bay Area on Saturday, June 18th at 4pm and SFCFC makes their second trip into the Peninsula for round two of the Bay Area Derby on Friday, June 24th at 7pm.

July kicks off with the return of the BYU Cougars to Northern California on Saturday,July 2nd at 4pm. The final edition of the Bay Area Derby follows as the Dragons travel to San Francisco for a special Independence Day match on Monday, July 4th at 3pm.Two more home games follow as the Dragons welcome the Fresno Fuego for their only visit to Burlingame on Friday, July 8th at 7pm followed two days later by the boys from Sin City who make their sole appearance in Burlingame on Sunday, July 10th with kickoff set for 3:00pm.

If the Dragons make the Premier Development League Playoffs, the first round of the PDL Playoffs are slated to begin on July 16th with the time and site yet to be determined.
