Dragons Fall 4-0 in Final Regular Season Match
With Playoff Positioning Secured, the Dragons Fielded a Mostly Reserve Lineup
The Dragons traveled north to San Francisco on Friday evening to face San Francisco City FC for the third time this season. After two impressive wins earlier in the year, the Dragons this time slumped to a 4-0 defeat in front of a sparse crowd at Kezar Stadium. With preparations underway for Tuesday's PDL playoff match in Fresno, the Dragons rested most of their starters and fielded a mostly reserve lineup.
SF City came out strong with three first half goals, going into halftime up 3-0. The second half was more of the same as SF City added a 4th goal to win 4-0. SF City finishes the season in 3rd place in the Central Pacific Standings, although two of their wins came via forfeit. The Dragons finished in 2nd place, clinching a playoff spot and a trip to Fresno for the PDL playoffs.
