Burlingame Dragons FC Add Christian Thierjung to the Fold for 2016 Season

Thierjung was on the All-Pac 12 First Team for the Cal Bears in 2015

The Burlingame Dragons Football Club are thrilled to announce today, the signing of University of California leading scorer Christian Thierjung for the 2016 PDL season. The attacking midfielder becomes the 7th Dragons player committed to the organization for the upcoming season.

Thierjung is coming off a stellar junior season for the Bears in 2015-2016. The 5’11, 165 lb. midfielder led the Golden Bears with nine goals (four of which were game winners) while adding four assists in 17 appearances. He finished tied for 3rd in the Pac-12 in both goals and points. He was recognized for his stellar play this season as he was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America 2nd Team Far West Region squad and was awarded 1st team All Pac-12 honors.

The Dove Canyon, California native played last season in the PDL for the Orange County Blues U-23 team. His creative passing and deadly finishing will add plenty of firepower to the Dragons for the upcoming campaign. His signing is seen as quite a coup for the Dragons organization.
