Opponent Preview

The Las Vegas Mobsters come into tonight’s game with a record of 1-3-0 on the season and currently reside in 5th place in the Central Pacific Division, three points behind Burlingame.

The Mobsters are a physical, yet technical team that will be a good test for the Dragons. As a team, they have struggled so far this season as they have only scored five goals as opposed to the nine they have given up. They will look to correct that against the Dragons.

The Mobsters have three key players to watch.  Julian Portugal is a technically sound, fit and consistent midfielder who is known for his decision making and leadership qualities.  Milan Popovic said to be the biggest kept secret of the Mobsters.  Popovic has played the last three games, had four shots on goal, two assists and one goal. Lastly, Robert Garcia, plays up top or on the wing and has a knack for scoring goals in bunches.

The Dragons view this weekend’s set of matches as imperative to continue to their quest to repeat their division title. The hot temperatures and many distractions of Sin City will provide quite a dramatic and scenic backdrop for this weekend’s set of matches.
