Dragons FC Draw 2-2 with the Las Vegas Mobsters

The Burlingame Dragons took on the Las Vegas Mobsters on Friday evening at Green Valley High School and came away with a well deserved point. A stoppage time goal from Khalid Arramdani drew the Dragons level, and the match ended 2-2.

The match was fairly even for the first 15 minutes, with the poor playing surface preventing either team from taking control. In the 19th minute, Jamael Cox streaked down the sideline on a counter attack, and crossed the ball to Forward Brian Wright who scored to give the Dragons a 1-0 lead. Not long after, Las Vegas leveled the match with a goal against the run of play in the 33rd minute. Going into the half, the score was tied 1-1.

The second half began with heavy Dragons pressure, however the Mobsters took the lead through a goalkeeping error in the 75th minute. The final 15 minutes of the match saw non stop Dragons pressure, with several quality chances going just wide. However in stoppage time, Khalid Arramdani slipped behind the defense and scored his first goal of the season.

The 2-2 draw puts the Dragons in a 2nd place tie in the Central Pacific Division with a 2-1-1 record. The Dragons & Mobsters will meet again on Sunday evening at 7:30PM at Green Valley High School. There will be no live feed, follow @burlingamefc on twitter for all live updates.
