Dragons FC Lose in Las Vegas 2-1

The Burlingame Dragons FC fell on Sunday Night 2-1 to the Las Vegas Mobsters. Playing for the second time in three days, the Dragons struggled to adjust to the poor field conditions, and lost for the third time in four matches.

Las Vegas opened the scoring in the 20th minute taking a 1-0. The Dragons leveled shortly after with Gabriel Silveira scoring from a penalty kick after the Mobsters were called for a handball in the box.

Towards the end of the first half, a massive miscommunication between the Dragons defense and GK Remi Prieur led to the second goal for Las Vegas. The Mobsters held that 2-1 lead throughout the rest of the match, with the Mobsters victorious 2-1.

The Dragons are now 2-2-1, good for Third Place in the PDL Central Pacific Division. The next match will be Thursday June 2, 7:30pm at Chukchanski Park in Fresno, CA.
